That's probably because this release is from the 3D version just converted to 2D. IMAX scenes were only included in the 3D release.

Some parts are shot in IMAX and some parts aren't, nothing really you can do about that.

Yea I don't have a problem with the changing aspect ratio, but for me I'm seeing the video actually shift from left to right in some scenes.
