How's the quality in this one and how does it compare to this one?

I was about to download the one I linked but then I saw this post. Is the quality same or is there a difference?

Since they're both encoded x265 and this one is almost double the size, this one should be way better.

[-] trashcluster | 1 points | Sep 02 2017 16:52:39

And compared to this one ?

[-] GMR707 | 1 points | Sep 02 2017 17:25:54

That's x264, this one should still be better. I can't thell you tho, I haven't downloaded neither.

Anyone that could let me know if these encodes have the elvish scenes hard-subbed, I would be grateful.

They are not hard-subbed.

Thanks man ! Do you know which parts of the zippy links are for which movie?

[-] jyeeel | 1 points | Sep 02 2017 16:09:10

Thank you ! Do they have any subtitles and if not, do you know which subtitles should I get (english and, if possible, french too) ?

permalink

[-] trashcluster | 1 points | Sep 02 2017 17:29:42

Opensubtitle.org, plex can do it too, even VLC with some plugins can download subs, in vlc you can sync subs so grab the first one you can find and sync it if it's not already the case and enjoy.

Yes, I know. I was wondering if there were subtitles that fit the video files linked here, so I wouldn't need to sync them myself.

I asked that specifically because, somehow, I struggled to find fitting subtitles for the LoTR films before, particularly for the first one.

Yes, these have a whole lot of subs including English & French

[-] jyeeel | 1 points | Sep 02 2017 18:22:12

Yes, but I was wondering if someone knew which sub worked because there are a lot of them and right now I can't check them.

Edit: Sorry, I thought you were talking about websites like opensubtitles.org, just like /u/trashcluster did ;) Thank you for your answer. I've just finished downloading them and they are great! Thanks!
