What format is this? It says MKV but I can't get it to play in anything - DivX, VLC, Windows Media Player, etc. The 720p version of this plays fine.

It's no doubt the E-AC3 audio that your PC can't handle. You can downmix it to AAC with software like Handbrake.

Cause normally I would just import it to my Mega. Now I had to download it, unpack it, upload it...there's no point to it being archived in the first place.

Nah, I want to back it up on my cloud and I just don't like to have to decompress it. It just adds more work I have to do that's totally unnecessary. That doesn't mean I'm not grateful for this upload, I just don't understand why compress it in the first place.

WinRar also compress the file to make it smaller, and it takes longer to take it down if its a .rar, rather than a video format file. MEGA goes as far as detecting some name of files that they delete for copyright, so that's why it's all connected by "." instead of just spaces. So anything with a video extension will likely be investigated and taken down.
