I would highly recommend Handbrake if you are starting out. I use a modified version of StaxRip. It has more features and settings, but they can be scary if you don't have encoding experience:)

Concerning the show:
I remembered watching the movie once, turns out I didn't finish it. It wasn't really funny. The TV show is even worse, I stopped watchin after 1,5 episodes. Get this if you are reeeeeeally bored, but watch everything else first.

Erm, did I say these are better? I don't think so. Nice assumption though, because this series has very intellectual and clever humor idiots don't "get", right? Tell me one joke that was funny in this show, without sounding like an idiot, go on.
