Thanks man, but quick question that im not sure you can answer or not but if I wanted to convert this to x265 my self what settings would I use so that it matches the other one?
I use Handbrake Nightly with the libx265main10.dll to encode in 10bit. Turn all filters off in the filters tab. Framerate should be same as source, and variable framerate radio button should be selected. Use a CRF of 21-23 and an encoder preset of medium or slow. Passthrough the audio and add the subtitles.

ok cool thanks again! just wondering though what cpu do you have and roughly how long it takes per episode?
I've got an i7 4790k. Takes about 19 minutes on medium, 40 on slow.

alright cool, I have an I7 6700k so it should only be a little bit faster than that. thanks again

whats the difference between the main download and the nightly build?
Nightly build is more up to date (and more experimental) but also allows access to features that aren't yet in the regular stable builds, such as 10-bit encoding.

Oh okay. Thanks for the info. I was wondering how people did 10 bit encodes with Handbrake.

Isn't there no point in doing a 10-bit encode if the source isn't in 10-bit?
Since you know, you can't add colors that weren't originally there.
Yes, the original source is 8-bit color, but encoding in 10-bit has proven to be effective at reducing color banding when you encode to a lossy format, especially at lower bitrates. It works especially well for Anime.

Good to know :-) Thank you for educating me

Unfortunately that's how they did the final chapters... we were so close to getting a perfect DBZ set.

Thank you can't wait to grab this.

Any chance of smaller encodes?
If I'm able to find a better release at a smaller size, I will most definitely share it! I just don't like to re-encode an already compressed file.
[-] kaching335 | 1 points
Yeah no worries I get it. 30 gigs for one season just isn't viable for me rn lol. I need to buy myself another external drive

Do I have to download this all at once or can I download in parts?
All at once, if you want to extract it. It won't extract if there are parts missing.
[-] justyourstandardnerd | 1 points
What's the safest way to do it, if you don't mind me asking?
I would recommend using JDownloader and MEGA since the files don't get decrypted on your end until after they're downloaded, by your own computer.

Thanks! I am using JDownloader as we speak.
Has anyone else gotten issues with the mega links being corrupted? I downloaded them but when I try to extract winrar shows the episodes as corrupted.
What did you use to download the files? A high percentage of users have reported CRC errors when downloading through MEGAsync.
MEGAsync and JDownloader, both gave me files with the extension of the episode number, when trying to rename or extract it just shows as corrupt.
I feel like I may be missing a step here. Am I supposed to rename the files to extract them, or should they be able to be extracted as they are?
Thanks OP, I'm trying to watch it with the original VA, but I've tried all 3 types of subtitles and it's still a no show. Anyone else has this problem?

I can't seem to get this to work. With JDownloader it tells me some of the links won't work and only goes to .099. Mega works but when I unzip the files 90% of them don't work.

Downloaded, but when trying to extract, I get an "unexpected end of data" message from 7zip

If you're a Eng dub fan, then I highly recommend this due to the Funimation voice actors being professionals by this point as opposed to when them having little to no experience when they did the OG Z dub. If your a fan of the Japanese VAs, go watch the original Z for Boo Saga because the VAs were at or around their prime back then and Boo Saga Kai removes little to no filler anyways.
Also thanks OP!

It's a shame then, there's some scenes removed, such as one getting their skull crushed. That was a very important scene.
