His uploads are all recorded from his computer using a program called capto..
You may ask, what is Capto? It basically records your screen. So instead of ripping it from the true source, getting the highest and pristine audio quality, (Known as a webrip), your downloading a version of him recording his screen. Depending on the computer, it could be 720p, 2 channels, etc. So it's not a true webrip, it's a webcap.
Remember the old days when people couldn't download from YouTube, and it was people recording there screen, ya that's what this is.

I mean, sure, that sucks, but even the wiki page linked in those comments says that webcaps are often labeled as webrips, in fact, webrip is a common name for a webcap. If the quality is OK and everything is otherwise labeled properly (ie, if he's saying it's 1080p 6ch and it's actually 720p 2ch then that's not OK) then what's the difference? It's not nearly as big of a deal as some groups labeling HD camera recordings HDTC's, but I don't see you telling people not to download from VCDUpper because he posts their releases using their titles (not trying to call you out Upper, just making the comparison). Your title and this thread are both an over-reaction. My thought just looking at the title was that /u/SeekNets was embedding bad code or malware into his downloads, but to read the post and find out, "Oh, he's using a common name for his type of release rather than the proper name."? That's just stupid.
Personally, I'm fine with a webcap if it's a decent quality one. I don't care about 6ch, and 720p is fine for my eyes and viewing distances. I'd gladly take one if there's not a better source out there, or if it's a better quality/size ratio than others out there.

Yes, as long as it's properly advertised what we're getting (and /u/SeekNets does not seem to have uploaded any noted WebRips) I don't see a problem with this. Just be upfront about it.
Like you I thought there was some sort of malware, which seemed odd because they've been perfectly amicable and not the least bit suspicious and I've had one of their uploads for days now.
To add, they were completely upfront about what they were using, which tells me they aren't trying to disguise anything.

Edit: Furthermore, none of your submissions appear to be webrips. So unless it's all one masked lie (which would fall apart pretty quick) I...still don't really see a problem. Your Thundercats upload looked excellent.

If you make a Gmail account, you can sign up for a Mega account for each letter in the email. For example, if you're email is [email protected], you can obviously sign up for an account using that account and sign up for more just by placing a period anywhere in the email. Gmail ignores the periods and will send the email to your main account.
So if you sign up and make accounts with [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and so on, all emails sent to those emails will be sent to [email protected].
Easy way of making multiple accounts and still be able to recover a password if needed.
