[TV] Moral Orel Full Series+Specials 2005-2008 WEBRIP 720P x265 (3.7 GB) | Megalinks MegaDB [TV] Moral Orel Full Series+Specials 2005-2008 WEBRIP 720P x265 (3.7 GB)

Hi there. I persoanlly recorded these off Hulu and converted them to a 960x720 MKV x265 File. This is my first time doing this, so any and all pointers are appreciated. Everything except the 2 of the specials are in 720p. I got them off Youtube

Encoded with Handbrakes H.265 720p preset with slightly tweaked settings and encoded at a slow rate.

Looking forward to it. I'm working on Loiter Squad, Tim and Eric's Bedtime stories and the first 4 seasons of ATHF

Yeah it is. Also I have to ask. What are your PC specs? I only ask because I have a i5 4590 and encoding in H.265 takes a long time. Almost 30 minutes for a 11 minute episode and an hour for 25-30 minute episodes. I also use Handbrake if that makes a difference.

I'm using an old i7 (gen 3 I think) overclocked to 3.9Ghz. Computing time depends a lot on the resolution and complexity of the images/updates to images but that's pretty close to the time it takes me, I may go just slightly faster. I'm also using Handbrake, the computer I'm using I built almost a decade ago and my GPU isn't supported for graphics based encoding (old GTX 275), but I use my laptop for day-to-day stuff so I don't mind just running these things 24/7. Plus, you'll get better compression on a CPU than a GPU

Okay. Yeah I'm running A PC that has a i5 4590 MSI R9 280x with 8 gigs of ram. I built it a little over 2 years ago. I just didn't know if my encode times were a bit drastic for the files I'm encoding. Thanks for the help.

No prob, x265 takes a while since the probability space is really huge and the input for each frame depends on the output of the previous frame which limits the computer's ability to parrallelize, although Handbrake somewhat reduces this problem by breaking the video into multiple chunks handled by different threads and combining the output at the end.

In plain english: There are a lot of possible ways the computer can try to compress the file and it takes it a long time to find the "best" option, and it has to process frames in order which limits it's ability to optimize task times.

Any reason the lost episode Abstinence and the bloopers aren't mkv or x265? Also, warning to everyone else, season 1 is quite out order, 2 and 3 are fine. [Edit: Realised I only said negative things, sounded rude of me, thanks for this, appreciate it!]

No problem. Also the reason for those 2 not in MKV format was due to the fact that Hulu didn't have those episodes on there streaming service so I just grabbed them off YouTube. Also I named these according to TVDB so Plex picks them up. I go off there numbering just because most scrapers use that site.

Ahh okay, it's just that the story happens out of linear order with that numbering, the first episode is actually the last episode of season 1, I was a little confused when episode 2 made no connection with episode 2.

Thanks anyway! Any chance you could convert those 2 remaining to x265? Not important or anything, just if you have time. I just prefer to have a show all in the one format and have had issues converting to x265 myself in the past.
