A few thoughts:

this game is AWESOME
it doesn't cost a lot and goes on sale several times a year
if you go to Youtube for help, make sure the video you watch is recent. The game is actively supported and the mechanics have changed several times.

Okay I was getting around 40 -50 frames on lowest and 1280x720 res.If I played on ultra I was getting 20-30 fps so yeah I guess you can run it

Hahaha my English sucks (not native speaker). I meant a gaming one. With a dedicated GPU, and stuff. Mine is an average Joe. I can play CS Source, and Warband.

(I mistranslated. Gama in Spanish means all products of a same class. Like a category of something. There's alta gama (best type, state of the art stuff) media gama (good stuff. Average) and baja gama (worst quality). I don't know how to translate that, so help is appreciated.

The minimum and recommended requirements are on its Steam page.

The minimum specs look like a mid-range laptop. You should be able to play it. Just don't turn the graphics up to alta. ;)

Sorry, I use a format for GOG setups and this one must just slipped past me, Your just supposed to run 'setup_the_long_dark_1.0.32178_(13904).exe' and follow it's instructions and then you should be done.
