thanks for sharing it took a lot of patience for this one i'm sure
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 5 points
No problem. It was a pain in the ass but now let's hope the link doesn't get taken down too quickly. My Memento link from a few days ago is still up.
[-] randomfa933 | 3 points
i feel inspired to upload this one that's taken me about a week to grab, due to basically no seeders for days.. Dark Water (2002). Think anyone would be interested? would be my first upload.
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 2 points
What's your upload speed? What's the file size? Is there a data cap? If it's easy then go for it. Just leave your PC over night and don't forget to upload it on a throwaway account. Also split it in rar files but be sure to add some pictures/random txt files too so the hash sums can be changed. Apply a password on the rar files and check the option to encrypt file names too (if you're using WinRar). (It's what I've done in hopes of increasing the uptime of the link).
think anyone would be interested?
I really don't know but if it's not a big hassle then why not do it. I'm sure someone will try to look for it in this sub and will come across your post. Also people here will appreciate any kind of upload.

thanks for the tips! My upload speed is not that great, and the file is 8gb. I could def leave it overnight though. In the meantime I decided on something else this sub might enjoy a bit more.. Stay tuned! Definitely using all your suggestions for future uploads

Hi do you mind PMing me the link. Could not figure out the passwords.
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 4 points
Sure! I just sent you one. Btw simply spell "emma" backwards. That's the password.

You are awesome, seriously. This is one of my favorite movies and my dvd got ruined during my last move. +1

Glad to see you're a fan of this movie. I have a 8.2GB version too. Dual Audio (Eng DTS, AC3 Russian) 12Mbps bit rate.
Here are some screenshot comparisons (use site on desktop pc) The first picture is from 8GB one and when you hover over the mouse, it shows the 2GB one.

Oh dude, that's nice. If you ever upload it and it isn't a hassle, I'd love to get the link from you. :3
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 1 points
The only problem is that my internet is shit and it's going to take months to fix it back to higher speeds in my area. I use cellular data mainly for Reddit and stuff and my DSL down speed currently is 2MB and up speed is 0.2-0.5Mb. It'll take me 3-4 days to upload it.
Is torrenting not possible for you? ISP problems? That torrent had like 20-30 seeders.
Btw, as you can see, there's not really much difference between them. Also generally x265 HEVC rips are 20-40% smaller than x264. If you're not gonna view it on a large TV screen, you're not going to notice much change between them imo.
[-] [deleted] | 1 points
Oh, that totally blows. Yeah, our ISP is like on our ass for torrenting.
I think that our TV is small enough that it wouldn't make too much of a difference overall anyways. :3
[-] ScyllaHide | 2 points
is there so much difference btw 8GB and this version? (8GB is just to much for a movie i maybe watch 2 times in a year.)
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 2 points
Nope. Plus this is encoded x265 HEVC hence the files size are smaller than x264 (especially if the original x264 file size was small) while retaining the same quality.
[-] ScyllaHide | 2 points
yeah so i guess same quality of this in x264 would be 3.5-4.5GB.
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 1 points
I might be wrong but it will be around 6-7GB. I remember some old thread about size comparison.
The download link isn't working for me, comes up with a 502 Bad Request error.
[-] Ed_ButteredToast | 2 points
Oh no! Lemme check!
