Super slow, not even 1MB/s. Not even 500KB/s at times lol. Downloading through my browser, maybe that's why. But if it's 1080p and beautiful, I am willing to wait an hour.
[-] AnkitIndia | 7 points
Well if its any consolation, I tried it through IDM and Megadownloader as well as by importing it to my mega account and doing the above. It's slow nonetheless. Currently getting 200 kbps.
[-] [deleted] | 2 points
I'm at 1.1MB/s and that's working at peak performance. I was only averaging 700KB/s for the first 60%. :P

Update: 1080p quality, totally worth the 90 min download
[-] waldorfsalad909 | 8 points
Thanks for uploading. Is this file the Repack version? There is a Repack on 2ddl which apparently fixes a glitch at 22:09.
[-] douhaveanygreypoupon | 3 points
I'll upload the repack version soon.

why are eng subs needed?
deaf people exist?
[-] OldBertieDastard | 2 points
WHAT?!
[-] [deleted] | 2 points
I haven't seen the episode, but there are groups that speak other languages (Dothraki and Valyrian) who were active players last season, so I assume that is at least part of it
[-] TheFinalStrawman | 1 points
Wouldn't the producers include those sub hard encoded? If not then usually it's meant to just give the episode depth without you missing anything.
[-] [deleted] | 2 points
Ah, point well made. :)

What a stupid question
[-] TheFinalStrawman | 1 points
I'm a stupid person, if it's such an easy question to answer why don't you do so? The answers I got were deaf people (who can't read lips), english as a second language so the subs help you understand (which I understand because I learned English by listening to audiobooks and following along in the physical book by reading)...any other reason? I feel like those reasons don't encompass a large enough population of pirates to actually pressure sub rips as fast as they happen. There should be another reason right?
[-] ilikeballoons | 1 points
I think those two groups actually do encompass more than enough people to account for the speed at which the subtitles are released. They have the same on cable TV--closed captioning is the same idea, it's for people who are hard of hearing or deaf.
[-] TheFinalStrawman | 1 points
Ok, it's just surprising to me to see such a high demand for immediate 0-hour sub rips.
Oh Frak! My torrent is already at 60%! Should have waited!
Where did u get the torrent?
Rarbg man! They upload pretty quickly!

Why is the file so much bigger?
[-] AmazingLulz | 5 points
Higher bitrate.
[-] ignorantmuslim | 1 points
Does that make too much difference?
[-] harris_kid | 2 points
Yes, it is the biggest factor in video quality.
[-] Cristian_01 | 1 points
So what kind of bitrate would you say is a good bit rate. I know that the higher the better but ... Any recommendations?
[-] harris_kid | 1 points
For x264 at 720p 1mbps and 1080p at 2.5mbps is what I call watchable. Some artifacts, not entirely noticeable, just grainy and washed out. I try to stick to x265 at these bitrates or below. 5mbps 720p, 7.5mbps 1080p and up is what I would call acceptable if the source is good quality. 8mbps and up is where the noticeable improvements are only in dark scenes. X265 I say 720p @ 700kbps is watchable, and 1080p @1-2.5 is watchable. I don't own much content at higher bitrates because x265 is really only used for low bitrate content and it is leaps and bounds better than x264. However I have encoded blu rays myself at x265 and at CRF 19 or about 3.5-5.5 Mbps x265 looks about the same as 7.5-10mbps x264.
