I tried doing my own x264 encodes, but they either get very large or look like absolute shit.
There is a Joy release around, but I'm not a fan of their encodes personally. I'd prefer a CRF based encode, preferably around 20 (±2).
I know this is a very specific request and I can totally understand if it's never getting fulfilled.

Depends on quality/codec. Depends if someone self encodes or they are waiting for a release (group p2p/ scene) to post it. Usually there will be a 720 HDTV h.264 an hour or two after. But better sources/encodes will take a day to trickle down to this sub.
