The game does not have any DRM. Just unzip the .7z file (changed from a .zip to save you 14 megs) and run the setup .exe.

Rot. Decay. A wasteland of twisted, pulsing flesh. Sakisaka Fuminori survives a terrible accident only to find himself trapped in a nightmare with no escape. His friends offer him comfort and support, but their warmth cannot reach his frozen soul. Then he meets a mysterious girl named Saya, and little by little, his madness begins to infect the world.

Anyone who has seen the new releases on Steam is sure to have seen the plague low-quality of visual novels being released on the platform (looking at you, Winged Cloud).

Saya no Uta is not one of those games. It's a masterpiece of the genre, and it's not on Steam, and likely never will be.

To give you an idea of what it'll be like, the writer of this game was also the writer of the Fate/Zero light novel series and the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime. I haven't seen Fate/Zero yet, but Saya no Uta is a LOT darker than Madoka.

VNDB says that it's a short game (2-10 hours), and I think that's a fairly accurate estimation. Thus, I think that the $25 price tag can make people not want to play the game. Thus, I'm setting it free. HOWEVER, if you like this game, I expect you to actually buy it at some point in the future, since it's available for sale in English.

I might be uploading some more visual novels in the future. I have quite a large supply on my hard drive, and some of them can be pretty hard to get nowadays. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
