I have literally just started the books and was wondering why it had never been made into a TV show. Thank you so much for showing me it had

I would say for you not to watch the show, as it has barely anything to do with the books. You are better off just reading those amazing books. (There is also the audiobook version which is really good as well)

Alternatively, watch the show before reading all the way through the books. As a separate entity, it's honestly an OK show. Compared to the books, though, it falls short.

it throws in elements from the book but doesnt follow any one specific storyline from the books. I enjoyed it after reading all the books because you keep spotting stuff and seeing how it was used in the show compared to the book.

They did have an episode that was kinda Storm Front, but with liberal artistic license. I think a lot of the problem is that they tried to go "Monster of the Week," which doesn't give the audience enough time to build up and care about anyone.

I enjoyed it the time I watched it, but i don't really intend to watch it again.

They also had an episode that was more or less Full Moon. I just started "Proven Guilty", and went back to rewatch the show, got 2 minutes into it, saw Bob, and turned it off. The show got me to read the books, and now I cringe looking at the show, lol.

As a note, the Audiobooks get better further into the series you go. I subscribe to Audible and have been using my subscription and my commute to work to barrel through the books. James Marsters (yes, Spike from Buffy) does a fantastic job, you can also see how he matures as a narrator as you progress. He gets better at making different voices for the different characters, and in the early books he has an annoying swallowing sound that he does, that either completely absent, or I have become desensitized to it by Summer Knight (maybe earlier).

Thanks, does anyone have a link for the books? My ebook copies seem to missing vital parts of the stories

Is this a pure DVD rip or a transcode? Either way thanks OP. Loved the books, tv show was okay.

Edit: Looking at the extension I'm geussing a transcode, have yet to view the videos

I ripped these from the DVD and then ran them through Handbrake. H.264 & AAC audio.
