Note: This is not a crf based encoding. Since there are 291 episodes, I've cut down each episode size to under 200MB so that it doesn't get too bloated (~43GB). There will be a "bloated" release in 720/1080 hevc. But its no where near complete. That'll be around 75GB.

Enjoy :)

hey u/vcleo, any chance you are going to do a release like this for the original series?
Thanks!
Original series?
As the other guys stated yeah I meant the original Dragon Ball series. Sorry for any confusion!
You should've said the 'prequel' as DBZ is also an original series. Anyway I haven't found a proper source for dragon ball.
fyi, they're correct. Prequels are sequels which follow an original work but take place before that original. Dragon Ball came first and so isn't a prequel, it's the original. Dragon Ball Z is a sequel to that original work.

A prequel is a literary, dramatic, or filmic work whose story precedes that of a previous work, by focusing on events that occur before the original narrative. A prequel is a work that forms part of a back-story to the preceding work.
All "prequels" are, by definition, essentially sequels in that they "expand on a previous or preceding work." The term is a 20th-century neologism that is a portmanteau of the prefix "pre-" (from Latin prae, "before") and "sequel".
Like sequels, prequels may or may not concern the same plot as the work from which they are derived.

Am not saying that DB was not original. All I said was If he said 'prequel' instead of original, I would've immediately got it. In anime we follow anidb or myanimelist. Both states that Dragon Ball is a prequel to Dragon Ball Z.

Will there be One Piece in your to do list? :P
See I have an anime site. Since I get a lot of requests there, its hard to keep up with it. Anyway you'll probably have to get pseudos one piece encode since its not in my plans.

Ah alright. Yeah I ended up on your site eventually and looked through. Good stuff. Keep it up!
What are the audio options?
[-] teaoverlord | 1 points
Japanese and English with the original Japanese soundtrack.
I can only imagine the space it would take but if possible could you do an x264 bloated version? I understand if not, and I suppose I'll reencode it all if it's too much of a hassle for you (let it be my hassle, not yours). I don't have a machine yet that I can hook up to my tv to perform 265 just yet. I'd love to build a simple HD home theater PC box but to perform with 265 costs a little bit.
I won't be doing a x264 bloated version. Sorry. Anyway can't you just stream from your pc? I mean even my oldest hardware (2010 MacBook Pro) can run 10bit hevc smooth.
I tend to enjoy being on my Mac while watching whatever, and I like having everything on my external harddrive which is connected to my router which can be seen by other tv's in the house (which are older than my main and can still understand x264). My fiance also uses this method to watch a movie when she has to stay up late in the guest room since she's a nurse... It's a very niche, complicated house
Hey, just wanted to ask how the bloated dbz release is going? very interested THANKS
Yea. Its up on my site. Only DDL links I've put up though. It'll be up in reddit when I release a torrent for it (will take about a month).
What is your site?! I used to have Ul.to account, but recently they've just stopped processing my direct card payments so I gave up trying and went to Mega instead but realized, Mega isn't as popuilar as UL to is.

Coming back to this.
Are the top and bottoms cut out? Also, did you add in the english audio or did the DHD release already have them? Talking about this release: https://nyaa.si/view/660445
