PLOT
Jang Kyung-chul (Choi Min-sik) is a dangerous psychopath serial killer. He has committed infernal serial murders in diabolic ways that one cannot even imagine and his victims range from young women to even children. The police have chased him for a long time, but were unable to catch him. One day, Joo-yeon, daughter of a retired police chief becomes his prey and is found dead in a horrific state. Her fiancé Soo-hyun (Lee Byung-hun), a top secret agent, decides to track down the murderer himself. He promises himself that he will do everything in his power to take bloody vengeance against the killer, even if it means that he must become a monster himself to get this monstrous and inhumane killer.

Choi Min-sik is probably the best actor I've ever seen. This movie is top fuckin tier.

For me he is the best actor I've ever seen, have you seen Oldboy?
I've seen the entire Vengeance Trilogy! Oldboy was my first Korean film and it made me branch off into wanting to watch anything including Choi, and anything directed by Park Chan-wook (esp if Chung Chung-hoon was DP for the movie)

Me too buddy I was also introduced to Choi and Park from that movie and from that moment on I thought Choi was the most versatile actor I've ever seen and Park's direction and cinematography doesn't get any better than that but I still haven't got around to watch Sympathy for Ms Vengeance and I consider Mr Vengeance the most depressingly hopeless movie I have ever seen! if you can please share your thoughts on both Mr and Ms vengeance is ms vengeance worth it or not?
Mr Vengeance felt very much like what I expected it to. A more raw take on Oldboy's themes. Depressingly hopeless is a good way to describe it. I wasn't really big on it but it was quality.
Lady Vengeance, in my opinion, was fantastic. Mr. Vengeance didn't have Chung Chung-hoon as cinematographer but after Oldboy, I'm pretty sure Park didn't want to let him go for Lady Vengeance. Being the most refined of the three, Lady Vengeance fleshes out the themes the best, I feel. I watched the version that turned black and white gradually and I think it was a brilliant decision. Both are worth a watch.

That's it then I'll definitely watch it and I see it also includes Choi in it so that's a plus! Dude have you seen Memories of Murder it's a masterpiece, if you haven't seen it I can upload it and thanks for helping me to decide that I should finish the Trilogy!
