Hello
I've been using snahp.it as a protection for my uploads but it looks like it has no effect. I want to upload big movies like 16+ GB but they get removed for copyright infringement. I wanted to ask what is the best way to protect those files? Should i only modify file hash before upload or do something else to make sure Mega won't remove it? It would be great if someone could tell me the best way to keep mega links as long active as possible :)
If any of us can access a link, then someone looking to report them can too. All the methods to try and make it harder will stop bots reporting the links, but it won't stop people manually checking the links and then issuing a DMCA. If you want to share the links then you just have to accept this dance. Even more private sharing communities are having this issue, because if you let people in some of them may not be who you think they are. As u/Vex99 kind of said, things on Mega are totally safe (almost 100%, if not) unless you share the links. Once the links are out there there is a really big chance they'll be taken down. (Re the MMC maybe that's dodged things because it doesn't specifically list any of the media where the links are posted. Perhaps that's made it a bit harder to find.)
Thanks for explaining it all :) I found out that changing file hash + its name instead original torrent name and using custom password instead captcha increase link life span. I guess just maybe because Mega employee must download & check file before taking it down. Good way to check your link security is to post Hellboy movie as someone on this subreddit constantly target all "Hellboy" uploads, both animation and movie.

The Mixed Media Collection is still up even after such a long time. I am guessing it's strategy be much more effective?
I've checked it and looks good. I guess it is way better than captcha :) Thanks for info! I will do the same thing with my next uploads.

I don't know much, but I've heard that Base64 decide/encode is becoming kinda useless now.

I find that use of jd downloader is best. I uploded a few mega files but created a. Dlc file to be opened in jd downloader which directly links to tye mega links. It is safer to use and links remain mostly anonymous. Check out few of my uplods and youll see
i have 2300+ movies on mega, and ive only had 1 taken down, i think it was Super 8, back when it first came out, it probably helps that i got almost all of them from torrenting, then i uploaded them myself, and never shared them, it might help that ive had to either remove audio streams, and have had to remove or add subtitles with mkvtoolnix for 95% of them, so that probably changed the hash/crc of the files from the original, but i dont have any rar'ed or obfuscated in any way, i even name them all like this for example, i only had a 720p in the title if it aint 1080p, so i know which ones i need better resolution of
The Fugitive (1993).mkv
all my movies are named in this fashion, dont need to keep them as original filename, because i only get good sources, and check the quality before upload

try raring and splitting the files its a bit more work but might be safe from take downs
