Pressing the pause icons pause both torrents. Highlighting a download doesn't help either. What the hell do I do? Can't I remove a download?

Can't you right click the download you want to delete. Then select Delete from list?

Just right click on the download and (delete from list / delete from list and disk). You can also decrease or increase priority the same way then stop and resume to download in desired order. Another way to change priority is to click and hold then move to desired order. OR you can always use Jdownloader 2.

You can stop all of them and right click and force download just the ones you want

this program is good but the interface isnt
