It'll be 16:9 with black bars, I don't recall this movie being released with open matte/imax scenes

The current standard for Hollywood movies is a 2.39:1 aspect ratio (averages between 2.35:1 to 2.4:1), so I hope you know that the only way to get rid of black bars is to get an ultrawidescreen monitor or to crop off a few hundred pixels from each side of the movie to get it to fill your screen. It's not like there's any higher quality version, this is it.

I actually have an ultrawide monitor but i also have a copy of this movie that is about 10gb and ultra widescreen. I was only wondering about the 16:9 because it wouldve looked good on my 4k 16:9 tv.

Watching movies is amazing. TV shows you gotta deal with black bars Gaming is really cool too. Should probably only go 34" or above if you are considering it.

I believe a 34" 21x9 monitor hight wise is about equal to a 27" 16x9
