Another great release. Do you by chance have the one from 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger in x265?

Why are so many 1080p films being encoded in x265 instead of x264 which is obviously more compatible with media players already in use in homes? I thought x265 was just to save space on 4K and UHD films.

Many people don't have a quick Internet connection so x265 is a lot better since you safe space and can achieve amazing picture quality with a lot less space. When it comes to compatibility you could connect a laptop to your tv which would fix all compatibility issues since media players like pot player can play pretty much all formats in great quality.

Laptop not an option. It would down-mix the audio to 2 channels instead of passing DTS or AC3 to my Dolby Atmos/DTS Neural:X HT Receiver. I just re-encode these 265's back to 264. It only takes about 40 minutes for a 2 hr film in HandBrake. Hard Drive Storage is cheap as hell so I could care less if the file is 1 GB bigger than the x265 version.
