So I've run into a weird issue and not sure why. I can download things directly from mega via the browser but can't seem to use megatools or the megadownloder. They just both seem to error out. Is there some sort of network port I should allow or?

Are you using Windows? You shouldn't have to open any extra ports, megatools should communicate over port 443 (https).

I'm a Windows user primarily, but did you follow the instructions to install on the github repo? https://github.com/megous/megatools
