A few months ago, I got tired of waiting and watched the shitty 480p leaked version. I definitely regret it, but I had the pleasure of watching the film in theaters a few days ago. Honestly, I'd check if a theater in your city is playing it or just wait for the official release.

While it's true that the resolution is 1080p, unfortunately, it has been upscaled from a 720p HDrip torrent and is watermarked (watermark is present in both 720p and 1080p versions) from 2 months ago.

It is. I've been using an ok 720p version with A- subtitles, which is fine for rewatches, but not for first time viewing. I'll report momentarily on the quality of this upload.

EDIT: So a few things. This does not look like 1080p. It looks like 720p upscaled to 1080p. The image for this version, however, is sharper, but a little more artifacted than the old 720p version. The old one is a but fuzzier, but with less artifacting.

The subtitles appear to be identical.

It also has the exact same watermark throughout, which leads me to believe this is just a re-encoded copy of the 720p version.

Also the image is slightly skewed, it needs to be stretched up and down, or smushed left and right.

Because of the artifacting and aliasing, I'd say go with the old 720p version, which you can find on streaming sites like kissanime.
