I am curious, is this mega's server issue? Sometimes randomly if I start a download it will be 1Mbps then others it will fly at the max my ISP offers. Not sure if its due to mega's server just being dumb or if multiple people are trying to download the same file.

If there is a way to "fix" this, would love to know.

Are you downloading with a browser or a download manager?
I get that issue in browsers but not so much in a DLM

It happens to me whenever I open mediaelch. Maybe there is some software interfering your speed.

This happens every time I begin a download, usually it will get faster after a minute or so, I think it's just a server thing. Might have to do with having faster internet too, mine usually begin at 200kbps and go up to 2mb or so after a bit. If your internet is a lot faster mega could be slower to catch up. I dont think its a case of many people downloading one file since this happens with everything.
