I'm considering uploading some episodes in 4k,

I was wondering if any uploader wants load it too because the 13 episodes are almost 355GB

Edit: enjoy the 1080p/720p for now. or wait a month for any 4k 10bit x265 release.

Honestly, I'm rarely interested in video file that is anywhere near 2GB in size. I'd be happy with more good quality 720k video material with reasonable file sizes. It is a rare thing for material to need more than that.

Marvel’s Iron Fist S01 2160p Netflix WEBRip DD5 1 x264-TrollUHD is the one I'm downloading. I watched the 1st ep in 1080p and decided it was worth having (offline) at the higher res. Of course, there are far better shows in this res (Stranger Things, Goliath etc.).

When you watch on a 4K 2160p television it makes a difference viewing Film & TV shows in that native res. 1080p is up-scaled (to fit the screen) and might not be noticeable to most. I don't see a lot of takers out there for this high resolution - even streaming (legit or otherwise). For the general public, there was a BIG obvious visual difference between the picture quality of DVD over VHS. A slightly less big difference between Blu Ray & DVD - still worthy of making the switch. The former being far more preferable. And, and even less notifiable difference between UHD/4K & HD/Blu Ray. That is why, I believe, joe public are not so bothered.

I still hear people say "watching a dvd tonight", "dinner & a dvd" or variations! I never thought, in popular culture, watching a film would be commonly referred to as "watching a dvd"! It should be said, a 1080p source on a 1080p screen will ALMOST ALWAYS look better than a 1080p source on a 2160p screen. DVD/576p upscaled on a 1080p screen is visually more forgivable too.

I can see why most people are sticking with that - streaming, downloads & physical formats. I may be in a minority wanting a higher res; even shelling out for external storage to house it all for as long as possible; but my eyes want the best available!
