Flac is the file. It's a lossless format (idk what that really means). It's probably the highest quality you could get it in

FLAC is a lossless audio format meaning that there was no compression when making the audio file as a result the audio quality is really good if you have the setup for it but the 2 downsides are that the files are huge and itunes doesn't accept them for some reason. If you want lossless audio that works with iTunes you need ALAC files which is basically apple's own version of a FLAC.
