Somebody suggested a system to keep files on mega and reupload them whenever they are taken down so I made a simple tool that makes this process faster.
You just add a bunch of accounts to it, upload the file to a backup account, and with a single command you can get a copy of this file uploaded to a secondary account. preview
I'll be adding more features to it later on, I'm also planning on making a GUI (web) version down the line. In the mean time I'd like to get your feedback and bug reports.

It's a great idea but it would involve downloading and reuploading the file again. Which indeed is more secure way to backup but it's not viable for people with limited bandwidth or data cap.
But by watching this, I am curious if a tool doing the following can be made. You have file a uploaded/imported to one of your accounts. You provide the tool with a set of account credentials. The tool then imports that file into all those accounts and generates a public share key for that file from each account. This could be helpful in making backups against Link Takedowns. But your way is the more effective against Content Takedowns.

The final tool will be running on a remote server, in the mean time your best option is to just find a dirt cheap VPS with a good bandwidth (scaleway 2€/mo = 200Mb/s) and run the CLI from there.

I hadn't thought of that.

I'll install it and see how it works, thanks!

I'm glad you released this right now, because these past few days I've been toying with an automatic account maker. Theoretically, I could script 1000 accounts to be created at once and immediately stored in the Mongodb that Mega Cluster uses. This could be cool.

I am using the script you wrote to create accounts. If you manage to automate it even further, I would love to use it. :)
