Depends on the file you are downloading. The more popular the file the slower it will be

It's slow because it can't download multiple parts in parallel so you just get whatever the speed mega allows for that file rather than the max speed your connection can handle.

No option to pause. This one has it.

Do you really need to though?

I can confirm that it does bypass the mega data cap on mac and pc. I haven't got any pop ups to buy premium, just the get premium thing on the top right. I also made sure it never updated.

It does so on Linux too. And the official version form http://jdownloader.org/ does not have adware on Linux.

I was talking about mega downloader. It's a windows only application. I use megatools or JDownloader on my machine too.

Megadownloader works in wine for me using mint 18.1 when I enable the .net dependencies, set windows version to vista, and use a 32 bit wineprefix.

If it weren't for free software such as Linux, you would probably not have a computer in your pocket. The Linux kernel is in everything now. Soda machines, credit card readers, and even in Windows and iOS. So slow down, and don't be a judgmental prick.

Or Google search "jdownloader ad free", first result will be forum link to download bundle free jdownloader.

Would also recommend MiPony Downloader. Seems to bypass the download limit, and isn't a bad all around downloader. ( Pay attention when installing though.)

what do you mean by that? i just installed it but there weren't any features to turn on or off..

permalink

[-] kurokin | 1 points | Mar 15 2017 23:42:18

I just meant it had those ' optional install ' things.

Are you sure jdownloader changed something and added the circumventing "bug"?

I use Jdownloader for years now and I had a limit with mega for most of the time. It just changed recently. I thought that mega changed their limits.

You can also just download the jdownloader jar from the official site and it wont have any bloatware coming with it.

No, I have used this version and its gone right thru. Just downloaded all of hitman just now and no cap. (I don't have a mega account either).

[-] rongkongcoma | 1 points | Mar 16 2017 01:05:04

I do not have a limit with my version of jdownloader either at the moment, so it doesn't have anything to do with it. I believe it's because of mega, not because of jdownloader.

I'm also curious of this. I've been using jdownloader on osx for years and have always had to deal with the cap.
