This is for Wii U, to play on a custom firmware. I am just the messenger, don't ask me any questions about how to run it, I don't even own a Wii :(

Advice: backup this.
The game runs like shit on Loadiine. e.g. when you boot, your save can take like 10mins to load.. then as you warp between the various 100 or so shrines in the game, it can be 5-10min wait each time. Even as you walk between areas, or switch weapons there is loading times. Even with a fast sd card. Just buy it, Nintendo spent 6 years making it, its the least you can do to say thanks. Its an amazing game. Also.. how long do you think it takes to extract a 12GB, 15,000 file game to your sd card? Put the kettle on...
Nintendo decided to stop selling their platforms and games in my country. To buy Zelda, I'd have to pay around $120 since it's an import. Microsoft and Sony both sell here with official retailers.
Whn they sold here officially, I used to buy every game legally - both for the Wii / Wii U and for the DSL/3DS.
So... nope, if they don't want my money, that's on them. If Loadiine doesn't run it well I'll search for another solution.
Edit: Done! Up and running through WUP Installer. Kinda tricky for someone who never messed with such things on the Wii U, but easy enough. Zelda's running flawlessly.
Slightly random question, but what can $120 usually buy where you are at? It sells for nearly $300, here in the US but that's USD. I'm just curious what your dollar equivalent is there.
US$300 is the price of the Switch in the US, right? What I meant by US$120 is the price of just the game (Zelda BOTW). The Switch as of now costs US$800 here. That's the gray market price, since Nintendo stopped selling here. I've paid around $400 for the Wii U about 2 years ago.
For comparison, an Xbox One here costs officially around $600, or $400 in the gray market. Personally I usually play on the PC, and Steam prices are usually pretty fair - sometimes even cheaper than in the US. My PC parts were expensive as hell though.
Might i ask what tutorials you followed? im kind off in the same boat here
I had so many tabs open, I don't remember anymore what info came from where. But basically, you have to:
1. Download both Zelda BOTW and the update v16 (both available on The Pirate Bay
2. Put both Zelda and the v16 update on the SD ("root\install" folder)
3. Put Mocha CFW Pack in your SD card ("root\Wii U" folder) and run it using the homebrew launcher
4. Run WUP Installer via the homebrew launcher, and install first Zelda and then the update (takes a long time - and a little caveat, I was only able to run the update after removing the base game from the \install folder, otherwise it just kept reinstalling the base game)
iirc, that was it. You'll have to re-run Mocha everytime you reboot the console, otherwise Zelda won't run since the torrent version is EUR (and Mocha makes the Wii region-free).
If something wasn't clear feel free to ask.
Thanks for the reply, im downloading the USA version from a tik software or something like that to install it with wup!
Any link with a more detailed guide please?
Sorry, as I said I followed a lot of different sources for each bit of the process, and not all of them was even in English. I really don't remember which piece of info came from what website :/
That said, I think I remember most of the process, so if there's any specific step you need further explanation, feel free to ask me.

hey man. i see that you installed the game files->updates using the wup installer. how about the 3rd file, the tik file? where does that one go? thanks!
The tik file goes inside the installation folder. In my case, I put the base game install in SD\install\Z1 and the v16 update in SD\install\Z2. Both Z1 and Z2 have their tik file inside.
Just a reminder, you can't use the Loadiine version of Zelda to install via WUP, you need to download the proper version. In my case both torrents already came with their tik files.

Just to clarify, the third file in the links here is a tik file right? Both base game and update already have their own tik files inside. Why is there a need to download the third file then? Thanks for answering btw.
Yeah, I didn't actually download the game from these links. I downloaded from TPB and later found this thread when I was trying to install. But from what I've saw, the third link is indeed the tik file. For some reason some distributions don't include it.
This is where I downloaded from:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:9763eade2a79f490a3361f92df0e4576ccc73edb&dn=Zelda%20Breath%20of%20the%20Wild%20%5b00050000101C9500%5d&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.leechers-paradise.org%3a6969&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fpublic.popcorn-tracker.org%3a6969&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3a6969&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fzer0day.ch%3a1337
And the v16 update:

thanks man! i finally got it to work. it seems like the tik file here must overwrite the one in the base game files. the tik file for the updates on the other hand must be untouched.

Oh man, I was wondering if it was just my cards. I've tried multiple and the load times are INSANE. Like when you break a rock or kill an enemy it takes 5-10 seconds, sometimes longer for the items to drop. And if you are riding a horse they slide at the border chunk seam since it hasn't loaded yet.
I'm out of a job atm, but as soon as I get one, BotW will be one of the first things I buy with spending money. Hopefully a Switch as well.

What's the point, when you can use Wii U USB Helper

I prefer uTikDownloadHelper myself. Either way, THE easiest way to download WiiU games. Literally every title you can buy/download from the online store can be downloaded using either tool.

Hey this might sound weird but thanks. I've got that program and I was going to download the game but I forgot the program name and I was pretty lazy and couldn't find it with 10 seconds of googling. Now I know what its called :)

Only things with tickets dumped. There are some things missing, particularly if you want EUR over USA.

Well MEGA tends to give far better speeds than Nintendo's servers for one thing, in my experience.

Yeah I have to agree. I downloaded this from a torrent and it was in WUP format. I had to extract and try to put back together and it was a pain and never got it work. Then I tried the USB Helper and I was so happy with how easy and managed everything was. Just search, download, copy to SD or WiiU. So simple.
