I import a ton of stuff I find here that I deem interesting. This collection spans a lot of different accounts and it was hard for me to keep track. So I made this site where I can upload the links and forget about it. When I want to download it, I can just search for it on the site instead of looking through all my accounts.
This site can now also act as a backup of links that are now dead. Since I never share links taken directly from here but import them and create new links, the content that gets taken down here is often intact on my imported accounts.
You can check it out at megalinks.ml.
I only have about 200 links there but I update it daily with new ones.
If you wanted something but the link was taken down before you could download it, there is chance that it exists on the site.
TL;DR : There's a site that I made to backup my links. You can use it when links shared here get taken down.
I would love to hear what you people think of this.
EDIT: Go to the registration post for more info.
Wow thanks a crap ton dude, there's alot of great stuff here! Do you have backups of this stuff? Because right now my drive is full and i'm slightly worried that i'll loose access to this stuff soon :/
Make an [Add New Content] for registered users so they can add their own links!

Yes, I am working on a way so that I can register other users. Thus they can keep the database updated by adding their own links.

It would be perfect if there was a bot that automatically checks the links and flags them properly as online/offline (and preferably autodeletes them).
Thank you mate, great great work, awesome site. Thanks a lot.
Just my two cents: Instead of having 3 tabs (Description, Download Link, Date) why dont you put all the info in one page? I think it will be easier to visualize : Click on the name of the movie and next page BOOM Name of the file, date and download link all in three lines.

Yeah, the tabs are merely ostentatious. I wanted to make it look a bit fancy that's all.

Might want to get input from /u/vcdupper and /u/indigo6alpha , but amazing interface and intutitive! Well done!

Thanks :)
I am waiting for a response from them and see what they think of this.

Wow this is great :o
Great design and initiative!
One small remark though, when I load the movies page, I can't immediately see the pages at the bottom. It might be nice if the page displayed a couple less links per page, so you can immediately see the whole page (including the page "pagination" at the bottom). Oh and maybe highlight the current page in the "pagination" at the bottom?

I'll look into it.

Thank you for sharing, I really like this.

Do you have a backup for naruto kai by any chance? Only need ep 68
[-] Cartmanishere | 1 points
No, I don't. I didn't save it.
Thanks, this is interesting. What do you think about letting others put their links on the site as well? Could serve as a good backup resource for the sub.
[-] Cartmanishere | 4 points
I do have plans for that. But I made this post sort of as a way to gauge the interest of the community for now. If people are willing to use this as backup for their links, I can hook them up with their separate accounts so they can update the database themselves.

FUCK ME But can you PM me the source code or something.. I'll lick your nuts if you want.

There's not much here. I just built a very basic webapp using Django. Took me a week to learn everything from scratch. I love your work, you can definitely backup any links you want on there. I am working on a way to let other registered users backup links.
As for the code, I have also added the project on github. Here's the link if you want to check out the nuts and bolts.

this is amazing......
pls send me the code..I want to try it out too... :)

This is neat! Great work, /u/Cartmanishere!
Since you mentioned you're using Django for the backend, can you perhaps integrate reddit API into the site so the users here can simply sign up (based on account age and other criteria) on your site?

I don't have any experience with using API's. I was gonna make users register without any verification. Users can only add and change their own links, so I think it's pretty safe. But I will try to learn about APIs and see if I can figure out how this works.

Great! PM me if you need any help with that or with the site

Awesome
Suggestion: In the description page too, you should add the size too. I know is on the list page.
Could you add the walking dead season 3+ in 1080p?
[-] Cartmanishere | 2 points
Done!
Thanks! That was quick, are they all h254 and 1080p?
[-] Cartmanishere | 1 points
Yes. Blurray too.
Great, but sorry to bother you again, is it compressed because the filesize's are quite small. Normally they are around 800 to 1gb?

Not sure how much input you had design wise but it looks really nice and is easy to use. Nice initiative OP.
