What impact can this have on mega.nz?

It wont have any impact on Mega. Mega was victim to a hostile takeover by a Chinese businessman wanted for fraud in China and hiding out in NZ. The controlling shares in Mega were seized by the New Zealand government which is now in control of the site.
New Zealand controls mega.nz? wow, i did not know that.
If this is the case why haven't they shut it down?
Money green.
Or, I suppose whatever color NZ money might be.
Multi-coloured, probably one of the best looking notes I've used.

almighty money
Legally mega is not under the umbrella of the 'megaupload' case. So a new prosecution would have to be brought forward for mega.nz to be shutdown - which is unlikely , due to the lessons learned in the past. The NZ government may be a US / Hollywood pawn, but they've faced some hard questions for their treatment of Dotcom (e.g use of terror squad for civil prosecution arrest, illegal spying of a NZ resident etc). Shutting down mega for no valid legal reason would cause a shitstorm.
Someone should make a movie about Mister DotCom's life, it'd probably be pretty interesting
I'm pretty sure he won't like that. Especially his beginning in Germany.

He already made a movie about himself in the late '90's, in flash.

It won't have any impact on mega.nz because he hasn't been involved with MEGA for nearly a year now
