[META] Can we implement a way to search by flair? | Megalinks MegaDB [META] Can we implement a way to search by flair?

Or is this something that's already implemented and I simply cannot figure it out?

What are you wanting to search for?

Just wanted a way to sort the type of things being added here, I seen a lot of anime posted recently and was wondering what else was added before.

To be fair the search isn't really helping. I think the brackets [] are ignored anyways, right? Anime shouldn't be hard to find, but when you look for [games] the top 3 results are not games, but Game of Thrones related stuff. It's all quite dirty, searching for movies also results in soundtracks for movies and so on.

I, too, would rather search for a movie flair than for 720p, but well, old discussion is old.

You can just search "flair:xyz"

That's because the [movies], [anime] are not flairs. You need to use the search NOT operator

NOT title:[anime]

The flairs are 720p, 1080p etc.

Try searching flair:720p exactly how I've written it. It should work.

[MOVIE] and [TV] are not flairs, by the way.

I was thinking the same thing. like the diy subreddit, with links to each in the sidebar. the only negative being it won't work with posts that didn't use the flair.....

For Anime just do what /u/vcdupper showed below (search for [ANIME] ). And as other stated below, flairs are typically resolution or letting people know a link is dead, so that will not help you.

This suggestion has been posted quite a few times on the sub. And the consensus response is even if it was setup in a way you could search, there really is not a point since almost all links are no longer active after either a few days, few hours, or a few weeks. You are better off just sorting by the past week or month. And if you want something specific search for it and sometimes you can get lucky with an older link still active.
