I just use google.

Type: search item inurl:mega.co.nz

Bam, google will popup searches related to your "search item" only on the domain mega.co.nz

I'll even make it quicker. Instead of "search item inurl:mega.co.nz" you can just type "site:mega.co.nz"

site:mega.co.nz

Ok, i just tried the following:
Walking Dead site:mega.co.nz - 0 results
Arrival site:mega.co.nz - 0 results
exorcist site:mega.co.nz - 0 results

What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing really. site:mega.co.nz isn't really useful because it shows only results on mega.co.nz (not any 3rd party sites that use it), and since mega doesn't use the filename as their webpage titles everything is just "files -".

intext:mega.co.nz walking dead

intitle:mega.co.nz walking dead

I feel like if I just google "mega.co.nz walking dead" I get the same/better results (ironically the top is from here), I thought the point was to have a search engine for MEGA. But there's not a single link directly towards MEGA, the dangers for rookies of ending up in pop up and malware hell are big IMO.

Honestly I've never searched mega that way. I just know that in general, you only have to type "site:" instead of "search item inURL:" in order to search a specific site.

Mega isn't really index friendly. the download pages aren't titled and there are no meta descriptions or tags. the best you can really hope for is a titled page and a link underneath. even search engines like megasearch.co seem to rely on people adding links manually rather than them being crawled by a bot

There we go! I think inurl still works, but site is easier to type.

I actually have a script I made that searches for me, so I forget these things lol :).

This won't work for Mega because the don't use titles in their links, just strings of characters like: #F!m41C0DxC!5cNfOlv50Al3R5GFNU-SaA.

In the days of the old MegaUpload there were sites operating exclusively using MegaUpload links that were posted by users. It operated similar to this but was invite only. I was wondering if sites like that still existed as well.

There are forums where DDL hosts including MEGA are used to post links. Also some blogs. Some forums you need to create an account. As for the blogs though since the links are made public, they don't tend to last long unless they are being protected somehow.

links go down so fast.. there's really no use for a search engine. Even stuff on this sub is pretty much all dead after a couple of weeks.

BUT, Content is only as good as the link being active.

PS; Pop-ups abound.
