Don't know why you've been downvoted so much. I guess I'm the same way you are with HD movies. I rip the Bluray myself and then compress in handbrake just enough so that you can hardly notice any compression. End up with files about 10 GB in size.

YIFY and movies than are supposedly 1080p but are only 1 GB are half the time not as good as DVD.

It's rude of me to talk shit on free content, but 720p or 1080p movies that are under a gigabyte are just presumable bad viewing quality on actual 720p/1080p screens.

A decently healthy 720p movie is around 4-8gb and 1080Ps are anywhere from 10-20 with their full quality.

I have 10GB 720p 5.1sound Harry Potter movies that look better than the 1080p ones of equal size just because they weren't stretched out to 1080p or had the quality boiled out of them for size.

I agree on not being a fan of smaller rips, but it's a good thing to have multiple quality options for movies, man. No harm in posts like these existing. As long as the file sizes are clear in the title of course
