ABOUT THIS RELEASE
This special edition DVD presents two commercially unavailable versions of Don Coscarelli's classic : a preservation of the original open-matte film [laserdisc transfer], and the 2010 Extended Cut, which includes many deleted scenes reintegrated into the film, as well as the original 1978 footage used in Phantasm IV (parts of the new soundtrack had to be recreated from scratch, and every added scene has been correctly framed and color corrected). Bonus features are also included.

Additional scene: Mike & his brother driving / The tall man runs over a dog.
Additional scene: Mike runs after Reggie's truck.
Extended scene: The Tall Man smiles at Mike.
