Watched this on Saturday night. It's not a huge difference however you do feel that the movie "flows" better and isn't quite so jerky in the lighting and ambience it's trying to hit.

Definitely a better cut than the theatrical release IMO

Yeah I watched it last night. I too felt the movie flowed better than the original cut. Overall it was an improvement, however there were several instances of re-scored scenes with music volume much too high for the scenario. Especially evident in a particular 1-on-1 conversation where the music felt very out of place.

This fixes most of the massive flaws in Prometheus. I think the main problems with this cut is that the scoring now doesn't hit the right marks. It also creates an issue with the timeline where the doctor enters the medpod occurs immediately after we see Vickers and the captain in her quarters. She would have had to walk right past them.

Prometheus was so broken that plotholes weren't the major problem. The major problem were the logic issues. Characters acting in staggeringly stupid ways. Part of the problem were edits made that cut out small scenes that filled those gaps. This cut put many of those back, notably how the 2 scientists got lost and way they acted the way they did. It also makes it more plain that the planet is a military base were something went wrong.

I know this thread is ancient, just popped in to say that the 4GB version that's on a certain site with a ship logo has really low video quality and audio with lots of clipping, all around pretty bad stuff. It's really much worse than most 1080p movies in that file size range. It considerably lessened my enjoyment of the movie, wouldn't recommend.
