I'm having trouble launching MegaDownloader with Wine. I'd really appreciate any Linux users helping me out

Does it close on launch? I use it on macOS but I would imagine it would be the same. You would have to get dotnet4.5.2 via winetricks. 4.5.2 might be overkill but I had that installed and it worked for me.
I finally got it to work after installing 4.6, but when I add a link, no download begins, could you please tell me what else is needed, I already installed msxml3 and mscoree.dll

You clicked the plus button and added the link to the text field. I assume the name can be left blank and you have a Download location by default. Then untouched click the Add button right under the text field.
Does the entry for link not show up in the main window?

I have vcrun2010, vcrun2008, vcrun6 as well. Try installing those. Also see if you can get WINE 1.9.24. The new 2.0-RC releases have been giving me trouble when using MegaDownloader. 1.9.24 works perfectly for me.
Otherwise you should use megatools like others are suggesting.
Thank you so much for all your replies helping me, I finally got it to download after installing 1.9.24 and the vruns mentioned, hopefully it downloads correctly. I really appreciate your help, thanks once again :)

Could you explain the procedure from start to end? Which wine version? Which libraries? What additional steps do we need to do?

Can't help you with your issue unfortunately, but I would strongly recommend using https://megatools.megous.com/ in linux.
