Seriously though, such a fucking good movie. Highly recommend Masaan as well. Came out last year I think, so good. I always try to explain to people that while movies like DDLJ are good, they're good from an Indian perspective. When looking at Indians with a Western perspective, they aren't really all that good, more like Disney Channel, Halmark, ABC Family type of movies. Gangs of Wasseypur and Masaan are exceptional movies from a Western perspective.

Out of all the movies that are released in India, I keep an eye on Anurag Kashyap's films. His movies tend to be focused on real things/issues. Gulaal, Black Friday, Udaan are his directed or produced movies.

Check out Haraamkhor which is coming out this month.
