The x.265 HEVC codec (High Efficiency Video Coding) can produce file sizes as little as 1/3 the comperable x.264
H.264 (837MB) Vs. H.x265 (281MB)
Some subtle loss of texture can be seen; but only on zooming in on a still.

I did mean just those particular encodes — I think I posted examples; the compression had simply been taken to far.
Saving HDD space is all very well, but if it comes at the price of obvious quality loss... just bite the bullet and get a bigger hard disc!

I think that x265 is more compressed than x264 but I'm not completely sure. But I definitely notice a difference between the two.

It all depends on the encoder profile that was selected and the bitrate allotted. You can get exceptional quality with any codec, the downside being massive file sizes, or increased codec CPU usage. For comparable qualities, x265 files are smaller.
As someone who has never seen southpark due to the amount of work it would take to collect it all- I thank you. Ive seen random episodes here and there and Ive always wanted to see it. Ive even been playing the stick of truth game recently. I sure appreciate this.
