specialized is the versions you can buy at the store. they have all the changes that george lucas made such as adding CGI shit to random things.

despecialized is a reconstruction of the 1977 theatrical version of STAR WARS. The original shots were painstakingly restored using various sources and the film received an extensive shot by shot colour correction based on a fade free 1977 I.B. Technicolor Print.

Video Quality is good. The only issue I'm having is the audio on Episode 1 gets out of synch as the movie moves on. Its about 1 second off by the end of the movie. All the other movies are in sych from beginning to end.
