[Question] How do you guys bypass the 5GB download limit? | Megalinks MegaDB [Question] How do you guys bypass the 5GB download limit?

I found a link here that helped solve this problem for people. I tried doing it myself - downloading internet download manager and then a Megalinks mirror. However, I was only able to download about 10% of each file and then after it would pause and say a firewall is detected. I've disabled the only firewall I think I have; Windows. I've even added IDM to the allowed list. It still won't work.

I hate having to wait 7+ hours in order to download something after I passed the 5GB. Some of the content on here are 8GB for just one movie!

Any advice is appreciated!

How does it work when it has a key? Every time I open up a mega links in my phones browser, it asks for a key. I input it and then it asks for it again and then it says I don't have access. I was hoping I'd be able to copy the link after I decrypt it.

That apparently still won't work either. I copied and pasted a link from my computer and just sent it to my phone

that means key is wrong or network is inconsistent/slow, see if you can use wifi while adding it to download list

For me it works fine if i open the page and use the decrypt key and then copy the link from your browser after that, at that point the program wont need the key.

idk exactly why, (maybe to avoid bots?) but all links have the key and link posted separately, I have also found this issue on my phone and often you need to hit cancel on the browser, open it in the app and then input the key, otherwise just append it yourself like the others are saying :P

megadownloader

I've used this a lot since teh bandwidth cap affected me. Just copy [(Ctrl+C)(Ctrl+V)] the megalink into the programs search bar and it should download it.

Last thing, if it directs me to a folder, what can I do? I'm not sure how to explain. But instead of a megalinks with just the file on the page, there are other files.

If you only want one file instead of all of them, there are two ways to handle this that I know of. There may be others but I haven't figured it out.

  1. You can select the file you want, then right click on it, click on import in the drop down menu, and then save it to your own Mega account. Once it's imported into your account, select the file ( the one in your account) and right click on it again. In the menu that pops up there will be an option to "Get Link". Click on that option and a window should open up that has the url of the file. (There may be a security message that pops up first saying something like be careful with who you share the file with or something else. Just dismiss it and move on) In the window that now has the url, highlight it and then copy it. Megadownloader should see that and open up the "Add Links" window. If it doesn't just open it up like I mentioned before and proceed from there.

  2. Within the Megadownloader program, click on "Options" then "Configurations". Within that window, go down to the bottom right corner and change the number of parallel downloads to 1. This will only allow one file at a time to download. After you've done that go to the Mega page that has the file you want. Click on the url and add it to Megadownloader just as the other steps said to do so. It will then start to download every file in that folder, but only one at a time. From there you can just select the files you don't want in the Megadownloader window, right click on them, and select "delete from list and disk". It's a bit of a pain but it will allow you to remove all of the files you don't want until you are left with just the one that you do want.

Sorry for the wall of text, the formatting wasn't working right so I just had to leave it like this.

Edit: Don't forget to delete the imported file after it downloads from your account (if you want) to free up space.

I got my laptop replaced and I'm trying to download megadownloader. The mega link does not work anymore and I think the link you provided just keeps downloading spam software. Each time I click on the download link, some kind of software download pops up and each time its a different software. Do you happen to have another link that I can download from??

A friends uses the auto reconnect of Jdownloader, he says it takes 10 seconds and doesn't even affect when he's streaming video. This only works if your router gives you a new IP of course (No idea how ISPs handle this where you live). But this seems to be a really good way.
