This is why it's so big:

[Video Bitrate]:.............: 11.1mb/s

[Duration]:.............: 2 h 6 min
[Video Codec]:.............: AVC
[Resolution]:.............: 1920x1040 px

[Audio Codec]:.............: DTS
[Audio Bitrate]:.............: 1509kb/s

I got these error messages when extracting the rar files:

You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack TwoDDL_Miss.Peregrines.Home.for.Peculiar.Children.2016.1080p.BluRay.x264-SPARKS.mkv

No files to extract

Anyone else have the same problem?

Pretty good movie. Deserves a sequel/prequel.

i was just thinking the same thing, there are 4k movies smaller than this

[-] m_d_h | 3 points | Dec 04 2016 12:42:16

I guess if you're downloading 4K WEBRips then yeah they are smaller. Usually 4K movies ripped from blu-rays are around 20-60GB.

I was about to say /u/vcdupper could not have made it any big, but I guess he could have.

Is there a 720p version?

I am trying to make an Android app, and update the Android tools. They installed 26 GB of bullshit, and as result my hard drive is full. I had to repeat the update 5 times, to stop and delete some stuff, because the installation aborted, when the drive became full during it. And the updated emulator does not even work anymore. Pre update everything was fine. I hate Android

I prefer 1080p encodes that are far above 10gb, in the 15-20gb range. Much higher quality than the puny 2-3gb movies. BluRay remuxes, which are the ideal form of movie watching, are usually upwards of 20gb, despite mostly being 1080p as well.

You must be new here.

really depends on how you watch the vids cuz a 22in monitor isnt the same as a 60in tv screen. plus some less fortunate ppl have to deal with data caps

I usually watch on a 27in screen but I notice the difference in quality easily. Data caps is an understandable restriction, though, sorry if you have 'em m8.
