This is some real good quality for 49mb.
I got this last week South.Park.S20E07.720p.HDTV.x264-AVS[PRiME] 348mb.
I can't tell the quality difference wow. Could anyone explain why? I kinda new to torrents.

It's the newer h265 codec which is much more efficient than the commonly used h264. When a 265 version is available I would always go for that one, but keep in mind it's not supported as widespread as 264 so there can be problems with some players and devices.

over two years ago (although I never saw it being used before about a year ago or so).
btw, my Sony Android TV plays x265, surprisingly enough.

I'm sorry, but you need to have a closer look...

Of course, this rip is perfectly fine - and such file size savings are great for those with poor connections/low HDD space. It's all good.

South Park is also pretty much the wet dream of image compression. So little color gradients, little detail.

That's a fair assessment for most animation... but not South Park—it still uses paper textures (a throw back to its actual paper cut-out origins).
