I had the same issue and this is how I fixed it.

Open the mega link in your web browser.

Make sure you are clicking on the home folder (in the menu on the left) for the files you want.

Eg if you see "TV SHOW XYZ" with sub folders of "Season 1", "season 2", etc and you want all seasons. Make sure you click on the home folder on the left hand side menu being "TV SHOW XYZ"

Copy the URL in the address bar.

Use JDownloader to import the link you copied from the address bar. Once it's imported right click on it select "other" then select "create dlc". Once the DLC file is created drag and drop it into Mega Downloader and it will work.

Seems like I'm unable to drag and drop the dlc file directly. Any idea why?

Edit: Got it to work. Just went to File > Open DlC/ELC File instead.

Yeah, I posted about this a few weeks ago and got downvoted for some reason. It's a legitimate question, and it doesn't look like anyone took the time to actually answer the question.

Happened to me as well some weeks ago.

I haven't found a fix, it just stopped giving me that error and went on to work as expected again.

I would like to know what causes this as well as how to fix it in case that error comes up again...

This problem happens because MegaDownloader can't download folders. What you have to do is make an account on Mega and import the files you wish to download to your cloud drive (just right click the file) then you go to your cloud drive and right click the file you want to download and click "Get link". Copy this link and use it on MegaDownloader to download the file

I've noticed that I get this error when I try to download from certain large folder directories (like the 5TB dump). Would also like to hear of a fix.

That's exactly where I first ran into it.

Tried to download futurama from one of the dumps.

Importing the target folder to my own drive and getting the link from there solved this error every time for me.

This may be a silly question, but do you guys download through the actual megadownloader or internet download manager?

I use the MegaDownloader software.

Hey caamt13 I was wondering can you dl batches of files at the same time & does it download the files automatically like jdownloader? and is Megadownloader safe to dl?

You can download folders and different links at the same time. The way it works is that you paste the links you want in, and then it starts the download for ALL encompassed files.

Yes it downloads it automatically. After pasting the link it's all automatic. (Aside from the occasional file error that you have to right click and click reset to redo the download)

So far I have had no issues with this download of it. I ran a scan with hitmanpro (One of the most through virus scanners/removers) and all was well and good.

Thanks for the update, I might as well get it now. I just want to circumvent the bandwith exceed limit. I was also wondering do I actually need IDM manager with megadownloader to make it work? or megadownloader works fine by itself?

MegaDownloader works fine on its own.
