I am an avid tv show watcher. Since I follow a ton of tv shows (old and new) it is hard to keep track of all the episodes and seasons. I found this app like a year or so ago. It is one of the best TV show tracking app I know. It has a great community of itself. Feel free to check it out. It is called TVShow Time (https://www.tvshowtime.com/en)
It is available on Web, iOS, Andriod. It also has a chrome extension. It is also integrated with KODI, Pebble, Plex, Popcorn time and more. It has a beautiful and simple interface. I highly suggest you guys should check it out.

That's what I use, too. There's a Plex channel for it as well.

I just like that it keeps track of everything I watch without my having to do anything. But I actually uninstalled it because it was calling home non-stop & eating up huge percentages of my CPU.
Sonarr is great in this regard. And if you want, it can search and downloaded episodes automatically for you.

Never heard of it but I will definitely check it out. Thanks for your input.
what exactly is this? does it just show when a new episode is released or does it find torrents for it too?

For torrents (Or just simple tracking and scheduling) use http://showrss.info/ If's faster, plus it updates even if leaks are out, I think. Compile your list of TV shows and generate the rss feed link. Add it to your torrent client/seedbox for automated downloads. Only downside is that they only provide x264 rips, and not x265.
Awesome sounds good ill check it out btw what's the difference between x264 and x265?

I guess the proper term would be H.264, and H.265, because x264/5 is just a specific encoder's name. Yeah and the short answer would be, it has "better" compression ratio (smaller file size for the "same" quality). A properly encoded H.265 video at 2 MB/s will look better (have more information) than a properly encoded H.264 video at 2 MB/s. But H.265 is a lot more CPU intensive to decode/play, and even more intensive to encode/create. This is one of the major problems that is preventing it from wider adoption. Most run-of-mill devices will struggle to play 1080p H.265 encoded video without dropping frames. In the future as consumer devices become more powerful maybe we will switch entirely to H.265 (or a better standard) sort of like how YouTube switched from H.263 to H.264. But the global internet bandwidth and storage is increasing and becoming cheaper at a faster rate than our CPU speeds so it's unlikely that companies will be motivated to adopt H.265 or any other CPU intensive standard anytime soon (Although 4K, and 8K should tempt them a lot).

Unfortunately, it doesn't find torrents for you other than that it is a perfect app to keep track of the shows and discuss the specific episodes. It also provides you with the whole screencaps of the show so you can make memes or share your fav parts and stuff.

I've used tvshow time but I currently use Followshows since you can get a .ics and keep track of shows using any calendar app so you don't need a separate app.

Sweet!! I will check it out. :)
Followmy.tv is very very simple and works perfectly for me. Trakt is too overwhelming IMO, so many things I don't care about when all I'm here for is show tracking.

Doesn't it what...? And I'm just giving my alternative, chill.

The_Adherent didn't say anything close to indicating he needed to "chill." Please avoid getting sore over his opinion.
Same goes for you, I guess.
