what's wrong with x265? it looks better. and you can always download them and convert them to x264 yourself.

Transcoding a transcode is never a good idea, also some devices don't do x265, like apple TV.

Personally, my main server has a hard time transcoding (more than one stream of) x265, but it'll do x264 1080p like nothing. Otherwise, I would download x265 all the time.

x265 uses less CPU to decode. It's only the encoding side that uses more CPU.

Would you mind perchance sharing Series 5-9 with a lowly Whovian? The only ones I've found are in 720p and a lot of the audio is corrupt.

search 5tb dump in search bar then go to x264, and it's under D. Also i would upload it for you if i had upload speed like these guys but i swear these people are magicians. My upload speed is like less than 100kbps
