Da Ali G Show (aka Ali G In Da USA): An ignorant, wannabe-Jamaican British b-boy (Ali G); an anti-Semitic, misogynistic but friendly Kazakhstani television reporter (Borat); and a homosexual Austrian fashonista (Bruno) - all played by Sacha Baron Cohen - conduct interviews on unsuspecting Americans, who include prominent pundits in the political system and celebrities, that reveal deeply hidden prejudices and challenge social mores within American society. Phoenix Nights: The owner of The Phoenix Club is the wheelchair user Brian Potter (played by Peter Kay), who has presided over two clubs in the past: the first (The Aquarius) flooded, the second (The Neptune) burned down. His ambition is to see The Phoenix Club become the most popular in Bolton and thus outdo his nemesis, Den Perry, who is the owner of rival club The Banana Grove.
The Mitchell & Web Situation: The legendary comedy duo's first outrageous sketch show, which launched both of their careers. Originally shown on (the now defunct) Play UK channel in 2001, it lasted for one series of six episodes. Still, it was the guys' first time on TV and still worth a watch.
