From torrents??? Now THAT is interesting.

What exactly is the free tier? The website is rather vague and I'd rather not have to signup to find out.

Thanks! I saw the "three downloads" listed on their site, but it wasn't clear if that was a monthly or a one time thing. It just seemed suspicious. -__-

Edit: Nevermind, I'm just an idiot who can't read...

Edit 2: I tried a 11GB torrent download directly to my unlimited google drive account (edu) and it did not seem to count towards the 10GB of cloud storage. Pretty nifty!

I think they mean 10gb via their cloud option, not via remote.

How do you upload to Mega, it ssupports services, but Mega doesn't seem to be an option...

You have to sign up on multcloud which supports copying and moving files from different cloud drives. You use Offcloud to download the torrent to a supported cloud drive (like Google Drive or Dropbox) then move that content from there to MEGA using multcloud.

Edit: Offcloud has native MEGA support. So you can directly upload to MEGA.

Does it transfer off of MEGA using the speeds of your regular MEGA account to which the drive is linked, or does it use its own? =/

permalink

[-] Cartmanishere | 1 points | Jan 24 2017 17:43:23

It uses it's own. If you want to transfer something between two MEGA accounts, you can do it directly. But while transferring something from non-MEGA to MEGA or vice-versa, they use their own servers. The transfer speed for free accounts is bloody torture ( on average 250kBps) but it beats having to do all this by yourself.

So, its transfering at its own free rate from mega-> elsewhere? Ugh. I was only seeing ~50kbps, and it seemed to timeout? but at least it isn't using MY mega bandwith quota to do so I suppose.

It's worthless unless you buy premium (Because it only allows 3 links a month ). And even then it doesn't allow us to directly transfer to MEGA. You have to upload the torrent to another supported cloud, like Dropbox or Google drive. Then sign up on multcloud and then cut paste the files from that drive to your MEGA drive.

I have a better solution. Instead of using offcloud, you can use torrent leecher like seedr.cc or filestream.me. You get direct download links from there. Multcloud allows remote upload to MEGA through direct links. That's it, done.

An even better service is embedupload that lets you directly upload torrent data (3.1 GB limit) or directlink upload to your MEGA drive for free with very few restrictions. Although the site isn't always reliable. I think OP was the first one to help me with remote upload issue. Sorry man, Offcloud just isn't ideal for MEGA uploads.

And with a vpn(or a smartphone with internet) and dropmail.me you can have more than one account, actually unlimited accounts

I wasn't aware of the new changes. That changes things. But you should try embedupload once. It gives good service too except for the 3 GB limit.

3.1 Gb is worthless for me. But the best option is savetodrive.me

[-] giorgio_95 | 1 points | Oct 15 2016 08:11:39

Now has a native mega support

permalink

[-] giorgio_95 | 1 points | Oct 15 2016 08:12:17

And is free with 3 links for a week, then just make another account EDIT: 3 links per day

permalink

[-] Cartmanishere | 1 points | Oct 15 2016 09:14:23

3 links per day sounds quite good actually. 3 links per month was outrageous.

I fixed the issue in a strange way, but it works. You should have mega open while you upload

permalink

[-] zaxelrose | 1 points | Oct 15 2016 19:14:56

It supposedly supports Mega, but when I tried, it was stuck on uploading, I guess that's what happens when stuffs in Beta...

[-] giorgio_95 | 1 points | Oct 16 2016 10:29:03

The official support says they have a bug with the mega uploader, they will send me a mail when it will work.

Interesting, I had it download a movie and it made the files, but never added the file, if it works, that would be an awesome feature, avoiding going through Google Drive or Dropbox, but at the same time, unless your paying it seems kind of limited.
