To be fair, last season also started well (as did season 3), they just seem to have trouble completing the season (maybe its due to the 23episodes).

The first few episodes of the first season werent great either, but overall it was great. Just gonna have to wait for the season to develop more, but so far from the changes of the first episode it shows they understand what made the show successful to begin with
