I've tasked the auto-moderator to remove all request posts. Do not be discouraged to request content because of this. This is only to make it easier for folks to find requests they can fulfill. Do post your concerns in the comments below.
Quick q on the split: will requests be replied to on their respective /r/megarequests threads and then reposted on /r/megalinks, or will all responses just be kept to /r/megalinks at this point? Or will it be up to the discretion of the poster?

My suggestion is to make a weekly (or monthly) sticktied post just for requests.

Definitely something we're considering!

Thanks! Also because the other sub doesn't get much t4affic.
Could you do like /r/listentothis and set your bot to cross-post any removed requests from here to /r/megarequests/ and then notify the user that its been moved?

Since nobody seem to responded in the other thread i am re posting my comment here
May i suggest following /r/documentaries process, they host a requests thread once a week or something like that, requests can only go inside the requests thread, and all others are removed. I know it is gonna make some people angry (like it did, when i saw it in documentaries) but ultimately people will understand and eventually adapt.

One thread per day or every other day would be easier so that new or other users aren't discouraged when asking for something also it would group the requests into one thing because there are A LOT of requests each day.
I think the reason there are so many requests is that this sub gets more traffic as in posts/reply's than /r/megarequests and because of it that sub has been dying over the past few months.
