I downloaded Citizen Kane a while ago and it was in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Is this one like that too? Was the original aspect ratio 4:3?

Yes, Citizen Kane is supposed to be 4:3. In the 1950s, the film industry began losing its audience to television. The widescreen ratio was introduced to differentiate their product from TV. With the exception of a dozen or so films from early in the sound era (such as: Billy the Kid, The Big Trail, and Kismet; all 1930 films), everything released before The Robe in 1953 was shot in, and should be shown in, the 4:3 aspect ratio.
