Hi, since i am starting to learn the french language now via mp3 course, i want to get used to it by also watching movies in french language.

I dont have many specifics in mind, but if you have any french films in their original language for me it would be great!
A few pointers:
- i liked the Amelie movie
- i also liked many movies from Luc Besson, but not all of them
- as a kid i watched so much Louis de Funes

I would prefer comedy, crime, mystery, but i will take all i can get.

If you like Audrey Tautou I recommend Priceless (Hors de prix). It's a cute rom-com with an interesting premise.

A prophet is a good recent crime film.

Le Samourai and Cercle Rouge are good too (quite older)

Les rivières pourpres. This movie scared the shit out of me but it's not cheap horror thrills, just a genuinely well made story.
